# Roberto Mottola

> Product builder in London. Has done most of his work inside startups, from next to nothing to something people use every day. Came to product from architecture, where he was obsessed with how people experience a space: looks at the big picture, cares about the small details, and finds the story that ties it all together. Spent seven years at Tabeo, joining as employee #5 and its first designer, and later co-founded Invisible, a startup building payments for AI agents.

## Experience

- [Invisible](https://getinvisible.co): co-founder, 9 months. A business bank for agent-first companies, later an agent harness for finance teams. Three co-founders (ex-Revolut, ex-Satispay), backed by Vento Ventures. He ran 70+ discovery conversations across Europe and SF that shaped the company's pivot and lined up its first customer, recruited the technical co-founder, defined the product and prototyped its agent payment controls, and built an internal finance agent that ran the company's invoicing.
- [Tabeo](https://www.tabeo.co.uk): 7 years. The UK's largest provider of retail finance for primary care. Joined as employee #5, before launch, and left at about 60 people, reporting to the founder and CEO.
  - Head of Product & UX, 4 years: scaled the platform to 500K+ loan applications, backed by a £750m Fortress facility; launched card payments and care plans.
  - Product Designer & Owner, 2 years: took the product to product-market fit.
  - Product Designer, 1 year: first designer; took the first product from zero to one.
